Scarby yak session
Met up with Dids and Mangajack (Tony) for a session chasing snaps off scarby. Met up at 5am at the queens beach ramp and headed off shortly after. We fished the close in reefs until sunrise but not much interest. We got in close as the sun was up and I finally boated a squire (38cm to the fork). Pulled in a bream shortly after then followed that up with another bream to about 30cms.
It was slow going with alot of craft on the water so we trolled over to a wider patch of reef and peppered that for a while. (Think I picked a couple more small squire in there and a flounder in the high 20's) Tony scored a squire that went about 42 to the fork. Dids ended up with a squire too but I didnt get the length. We trolled over to the ramp, mucked about and didnt really.
Was a beaut day on the water with good company. Would have been nice to have got a few bigger models but hey, thats fishing
Thanks Tony and Dids

Twas a good morning for a paddle and the fish had other things on their mind I think.
Even though the action was lousy, the company and the morning sure as hell made it good.
Thanks guys.
