Another day at the Don.
Hit Donnybrook again this morning with Pete. Weather o/cast, calm till around 9am with the wind picking up a bit through the day. On the water by 6am Loaded up with yabbies and fishing by 6.20 to catch the last of the runout at the mouth on Glasshouse.
Pete fished the yabbies for not much and I thew Placcies for 1 Squire going 37cm on gulp shrimp. With the tide bottoming out around 7.15 there, we tried a few more spots with Pete having the luck on the yabbies. With the tide pushing in pretty quick now we fished a few flats and gutters for some keeper bream. With the tide slowing towards the top, we fished the deeper channels again, Pete with Yabbies and I went back to placcies, gulp curl tail grub, where I picked up 3 flatties, biggest going 60 the other two low 40 and high 30. These were returned to fight another day. Pete then joined the party and put on a placcie and got himself a nice low 50's flatty.
Pulled the pin about 2pm. Pete had a few fish for a feed, the squire, the 50s flatty and I think 3 good bream. I also managed another couple of Grunter, getting bloody good now. Live bait caught more fish, but at the end of the day, you can't beat placcies for catching quality. Thanks again for the company Pete, good as always.

Good stuff boys. Good to see a few about. I think mission point should host a 2 day flattie event,
-
Should also mention - got another stonefish today. Big bugger too. That’s the 3rd in three trips. Shows the importance of footwear whenever out of the boat.

Mite give it a squirt tomorrow
