Chasing some inspiration
Hi all, so I am asking for input on a trip I am planning once the water clears a bit, or more specifically several trips. My plan is to do a journey over a month or so, from
tin can, to river heads. It’ll likely be tin can to teebar, there to Poona, Poona to somewhere in the Dimonds, then up to German, finishing up at beaver I guess.
my plan will be to film what I can for my stuff on Tt, and write articles for here. Likely will be lure fishing during the day and bait fishing at night. I will take plenty of video in the well known anchorages etc, but just wondering what specifics people would be interested in. I will likely mark up a map with my journey. Would people be interested in a quick clip going into the likes of Teebar creek, the mouth of Poona etc as a bit of a navigation familiarity piece or should I just stick to fishing.
thanks in advance for any input.

Great idea there Chewy.
How about boat ramp reviews in the area?
Local places to refuel / get groceries from?
Best sandfly and midge repellants.....ok that might be a bit much.

Show us what you can get from the corner hole up Teebar Creek.
-
How to sus out likely spots from google earth or maps in the area and then what to look for. eg access, tide, structure, hazards
-
All of the above and yes, very important IMO to review ramps and their condition, when to use eg what part of tide. Great idea. Also would rec how to get in and out espcially places like Maaroom and even Tuan on a falling tide. Perhaps look at yabby beds or spots for herring/mullet. Possible crab gutters. Isolated rocks that might grab props eg around River Heads. Conditions to expect eg don't go into River Heads on a run out with 30knot winds in a 4m tinny except carefully. Little bit on camping or swag tips and tricks. Get a guest boatie join you at various spots to talk about their experience at that point. I volunteer. They can talk about thir boat and what they've done to improve it, hat they would change. Just a few ideas.

Sounds like you could do a whole TV series on all of those ideas Chewy. You did say you only had a month, tough fitting all that in, I know from experience that a half hour TV slot is a weeks work as I occasionally drive the canera boat for a well known local presenter.

I reckon all those ideas sound pretty good.
I'd watch it.
Next mission - Repeat some Malcolm Douglas trips. Show how remote areas have changed.

Sounds good, when are we leaving ??

Looking forward to reading about your adventure.
As for inspiration, got nuffin as not that knowledgable up that way.
You could do "In Mike and Mals Tracks" not the bit about them going broke and owing people money.
