Kedron Brook

Spent a few hours at Kedron Brook on the High tide this afternoon. Received some great advice from Adam at the local tackle store and changed to a brown 5in fat grub and pink jig head a few weeks ago. Caught the 45 and 55cn last Friday and a nice 65cm today on this setup. Biggest flathead for the year.

I had been dropping a few lately which may have been a result of striking too early. I have changed to after the initial hit, pause for a few seconds before striking. First 2 fish (65 and 35) hooked securely in the side of the mouth. The third solid fish, I got a bit excited and struck straight away, only to have it throw the hook a few head shakes later.

All fish release and still holding out for the+70cm before the season is over.
