Default saturday barra and jack sesh..

    Gday guys.
So Andy and I were keen on a fish this weekend, and seeing that Paul couldnt take us out, we decided to ask Pete (petejones) if he wanted to head out Saturday afternoon. Which he was more than happy to do!
On the water at about 12, we came to our first spot with no luck, not the even a bump. The current was running pretty hard from the big tides, so it was hard to keep your lure in there long enough for the fish to key onto it.
Headed up the river a bit more to another little spot, and after about half an hour of casting Pete finally opened our account on a Rapala Xrap shad with a late 60's barra, cutting him up with his gill rakes, nasty little things.

Headed up river a bit more to a mud bank, and within ten or so minutes a landed a little barra on a Jackall Smash minnow.

Next rock bar we came to Pete caught a little cod, not much else so we headed up the another rock bar and Andy landed a little Jack on an Xrap 10D

after that we went up river again and Pete landed a little jack about the same size as Andy's littlle one, first cast with his new Rapala Taildancer! Not long after that I got a barra in the high 60's with a Jackall Squirrel 79.

As the sun gets lower, we targetted a few jacks in shallower water across rock bars and Pete decides to catch a horse of a jack at 49cm, i wish there was a way to show how fat this thing was, it looked a lot bigger than 49 in the water!

not much else after that, couple cod and Andy got busted off haha
thanks heaps Pete for taking us out, It was a good day And sorry the pictures are on the side, still havent figured out how to change that..
    cheers
    i like to fish.
