    Default Quick arvo fish

Hadnt fished the river for a few weeks so i was keen to have a go off the bank to see if anything was around. Fished for about 45 min with only 1 hit between 2 of us. We were nearly ready to try somewhere else when i hooked up solid to a fish. by the time it was having its second good run i knew it was decent, had to go pretty hard to stop it and get some line back before i ran out. Where we were fishing there was an old tree in the water (can see it in the photo) which i was a bit nervous about if the fish went right. sure enough it starts heading that way, so i start thinking im going have to get wet to get this fish in, was a bit hesitant but really wanted to see the fish. I gave my phone to my mate but didnt have time to take my pants off so went in fully clothed up to my belly. The fish got a bit stuck in the tree but eventually i was able to pull a nice diamond up onto the bank. Was definitely worth getting wet for, lucky this arvo wasnt as cold as it has been lately. i got a rough measurement on my rod which i put a ruler on when i got home. it came between 65 and 67cm which is my biggest diamond. Was pretty stoked to get it land based.
