Default Big effort - small return

Working from home today so took the opportunity for a quick flick before I logged on. Was on the water at 2:30am. (Begining to question my sanity). Paddled the yak over to the Pelican Waters bridge and anchored up. The tide had just turned to run out and there was a waxxing gibbous moon (fancy way of saying half moon on the way to full )

Well there was a fair bit of run in the tide and I threw about every SP in my arsenal up current and bounced it back to me. I tried different weights, even weightless. Not a bluddy sausage.

I was aiming to be back home by 7am so drifted back towards the Power Boat club boat ramp and watched a spectacular sunrise. Then my Gulp got swallowed by a nice little bream for a short tussle before I packed the yak up and went home.

I will be back out there Sat and Sun mornings to see if I can improve my results.

There has been a few trevally bashing bait around there lately. If you venture into the canal a bit theres a drain just before the first house on the north bank. Could be worth a look.

Great effort nonetheless Funchy......Best of luck over the weekend mate!

Do you do much freshwater fishing around the region? Why I ask is that EMFMI are having their monthly meeting this coming Wednesday night at 7pm at the Beerwah RSL. Even though our groups main agenda is to stock Ewen Maddock Dam and Lake Baroon, we do try to have social outings in the salt and in the fresh, including local rivers and creeks on a monthly basis. No pressure to join.......just throwing it out there for those who live local and aren't aware of EMFMI.

    Cheers Dave
