I reckon it was very close to 10minutes Dave...certainly felt like it anyway.Long fight and you cant really try and put to much hurt on the fish as you just dont know whether they have completely inhaled your lure or not.If they have its dicey as their abrasive mouths can easily rub you off on light leaders and combined with their head shaking antics its dangerous using light line.Everytime I hook up on light stuff I admit I always wish I was fishing slightly heavier..

Jeff..that 70 is a tough bench mark in the river....I thought this was the one...anyway its great to know that they arent all in that 40cm size bracket.

Adam I had 8lb leader straight to plastic this time.

The 65cm one I got last week I had 8lb leader with about 20cm of 20lb bite leader.I tied on this bite leader in case any Tailor were around.
I was lucky I did this as the GT inhaled my lure and the 20lb bite leader was scuffed up badly. If I had 8lb straight through on that one it would have been bye bye....

Cracker fish Pete. Especially on the 4lb gear. Gladiator prawn if I'm not mistaken. Great lures.
