Default Arvo fish with Ambo boy

Went for a ting fish with Peter (gunna) aka ambo boy and yes he was attacked again today by a very sharp hook but managed to get it out of his finger but at least it was not in his mouth with a worm on it like last week,
Slow start to proccedings with only 2 x 24cm tings coming on board before the turn of the tide, then things picked up and we boated 4 or 5 fish pretty quick before it died off again we moved about a bit and caught 2 or 3 in each spot and gradually amassed a total of 21 tings with some bigger models coming in as the tide got up and the sun went down,
took me and hour to skin and fillet them kept a feed for the family and the cats and dropped the rest to the neighbours
You boys going to Kinchant with Pete had better make sure you have a first aid officer is on board because he is very accident prone at the moment but mind you he did provide prawn sangers for lunch

Nice arvo on the water, would have been nice, the fish are a bonus.

    Well done boys.

Now wait a minute! bloody prawn sanga's? geez all i got was a banana

and a chewy yogurt bar. I'll have to remember that Pete, no more gourmet

    cheese and bickies for you.

I did not say previously that i have completed the St Johnn senior first aid

course (some time ago so i need a refresher ) and have the ability to treat

a range of misfortune. I guess we should be happy that he didn't slip over

the back whilst under way and loose a leg.

    Cheers,
    John.

Good idea Baz, He hates cleaning fish, but then again they may be

a bit rank by the time they reach you.

I had expected that the daggy old green Tweed River bait prawns would be used to catch fish but Shane insisted they would be fine to eat !!

Nah Steve, I wasn't a Senior then, it was about 20 years ago.

Back when they taught the DRABC Action Plan, don't know if that's still the case but it was quite a comrehensive course, some six weeks in duration, it was linked to my days as a Project Safety Officer, the days where I was hated by the tradies and shotgunned by the company managers, it was fun--NOT!

Aside from all that i have been able to use the information gained during that course to help quite a few people over the years, I reckon all should do the course.

    Cheers,
    John.
