    Default First Barramundi

There are a lot of quality fish we get to see on here- and often in quantity too.. but the posts that I enjoy- perhaps the most- are the ones where a fisho sets themself a challenge... and comes up with the goods.

Well.. old mate here has been giving me the swerve for a while now.

But I'm very happy to say that landing my first Barra was everything I'd heard it would be.

Hope the post takes you back to your first as well!
    Alex.

Good work SFC, it's nice to achieve what you set out to do. Persistence and paitiance are the key. That first one is usually the hardest, trying different things to unlock the secrets, but once you crack that lock they will become easier.

I just wish I could pick that JACK lock

It was only a 1.8mt at high tide last night, so not alot of water where I was... kept the SP on the Aird for casual flick, but also dropped live prawns into a gutter on the far bank.

Prawn did the job, but still looking foward to hooking one up on a lure.

3Macks- Have heard the same.. might have to pop down if I get a chance.. tend to be a few more humans about on the weekends though!

Nice one mate, still remember my first vividly, they are just an iconic fish for anglers, well done.
