    Default Donnybrook Tings

I had all intentons of getting out of bed at 4.20 am Saturday to go dig some worms for a planned ting trip at Donnybrook on Sunday morning with my mate Tim.
The Alarm goes off I wake up and it is still dark blowing a gale and a spit of rain on the roof ,so said bugger the worms we are going to use Yabbies and rolled over and went back to sleep.

Since Tim lives up Nambour way we got a leave pass from his missus for him so he could stay at my place overnight so we could get and early start on Sunday morning.
We arrived at the ramp and launched by 5.45am started by flicking a few placcies around for a flattie breeze was still at 10-15 kn east and a drop of rain but it soon cleared to a nice morning but still no flat fish. so we went and pumped some yabbies for Ting bait since I was so lazy the morning before.
We soaked a few baits with the odd ting coming in while waiting on the tide to rise so I could try a spot I have been eying off ,tide was about high enough at 10am to get up onto my bank 4 line in the water and 4 lines went off together with all 4 having 24cm bream on them next cast the same thing and same size fish.
The bream racked off after that and the whiting came out to play, with me landing 3 nice fish 35cm-38cm and Tim getting 1 over 40cm plus quite a few more in the 25-30cm range all up about 18 Tings kept with quite a few other fish
released and all caught on yabbies a bait I don.t like to use much as the fish get it off to easy
