    Default Baby Jacks everywhere

Ive been concentrating on creeks where no boat traffic goes like Toogoom in the last 2 weeks. Its yielded a 31cm, a 34, a 35 and then a 36 jack. Then I thought I had a big jack but it turned out to be a good cod at 60cm. So I travelled up the Gregory rvr on weds and nailed a 50cm jack, finally an opener for the season. I had to scrunch up the mat and bend the tail just to make him look like a 50 too (lol, kidding). Still trying to get into the 60 club tho.

All fish caught on mullet strip lures, after not responding to Zmans?? Lost a threadybuster to a snag on coffee rock and couldnt get it back with a tackleback, this game sucks.....I still like to chuck lures in the daylight, but its not getting a return on investment. All jacks released except the 50, kept one for the table.

Strange to be catching a few in the daylight, I usually only get em at night.

    cheers
    Andrew

Some good lengths there Andrew. Congrats.

Would be interested to hear if anyone has thoughts on the apparent spike in catches... eclipse related?

Nice work Andrew. Nothing wrong with mullet lures mate, if that's what works then keep it up. I've only ever fished for them with lures and still on a donut, might have to try one of those mullet lures myself.

    Nice 50
