    Well done Matt, I love that area from Burrum Heads to the Gregory. I was down there on weds morning.

    You really have to watch that ramp with a Nth wind blowing, and yes you can do damage to the trailer. I find many locals will offer a hand if they see you in trouble, so bad luck about the workers you had. I find the trick is to back the trailer into the water a bit LESS deeply. If the back roller is just above the waterline, and not below it, then the boat is easier to winch up in a cross wind and swell.

    Great fish anyway. Did the barra take the same soft plastics?

    For any NON members reading the thread, I can tell you that I see DPI at the ramp checking catches quite regularly.

    Thanks lads. Was great fun on the light gear. Thought the first one was going to make it to a snag but pulled her short, just. Flatties were typically easy to subdue but the barra were amazing. Bring on feb 1.
