    Default Zmans smashed them

Went for a full day fishing up the Daintree river on Friday. Never fished it before so got up there on sun up and got home at 1030 that night. Was a cracker day. Started off shit breaking the tip off my Loomis so got out my new Green arrow rod. Never used them before and I love it. Its the 6ft8 model at 10-25pound it stands tall but matched with my Zillion type R I was more than happy.

We ended up hooking 10 barra but landed only 6. Using plastics into heavy timber its hard and fast and a few were to big to stop. I lost a 90cm girl in the morning but the afternoon session was awesome. The lures used were zman 3" and 5" in bad shad, smokey shad and electric chicken.

We ended up getting the 6 barra, 18 Jacks, 8 fingermark, 1 cod and few GTs' and big Tarpon but the 2 best fish of the day was my 90cm barra caught on a Zerek and my mates 101cm thready on a 3" bad shad.

All fish were released. We did get sharked a few times. Mainly the Tarpon but we lost one 70 odd cm barra to one too. Was pretty pissed off as it has never happend before. Over all a great day on the water and a awesome estuary.
