Hi there Clint,I have been thinking of you mate re a big flathead attempt.I have been having trouble finding suitable bait. All the mullet I have been able to catch this season have been 30cm plus. There are plenty around 5cm at my usual bait locations but none of the 12 to 15 cm fish I like to use.I am thinking of taking a 12 gauge with me -every time I throw a piece of bread burley out I am mobbed by ducks or sea gulls.
We will certainly get together over summer.Maybe try a few thready busters around the rip bridge and then get afeed of whiting off the flats.
    Cheers, Mick.
