    Default Murray Creek, Mackay

    Hey guys,
Went for a fish with my mate Dan up at Murray Creek today. Believe it or not, I have lived here for 5 years and had never fished it. Dan has lived here longer and never fished it either. So due to the fact we had never fished it before and had no idea where we were going, we werent expecting too much.

It ended up being a top little day. I caught 1 nice bream, 1 small barra and 2 archer fish. All these fish were caught on the 6lb gear and atomic prongs. Never caught an archer fish before wither so that was pretty cool. I thought they spent most of their life in freshwater? Is that right? Maybe just spawn in the salt?

Dan got 1 Archer Fish and a real nice 43cm Jack.

Top day weatherwise as well. Will definitely be back up there real soon

    Hey Deano,
No didnt see any crocs. We were there at dead low this morning, so it was really quite handy to see the structure that gets inundated on the high. Some really fishy looking territory there thats for sure

Nice trip. I have only been to Murray Ck twice and its no coincidence that I have only ever bought two new props. Some serious gravel and rock bars lurk in that system.
