    Default Midnight red

    Hi AA's,
Been a member now for a few months but this is my first report so here we go.The plan was to head out yesterday arvo for a quick topwater sesh on sunset & try get onto a decent jack. When I arrived at the spot I was greeted with glassed out conditions & bait showering every few minutes. My hopes were high, but after about an hour the mozzies wanted that spot more than I did and I decided to head back home for dinner and to make a new plan.About 10' oclock made the call to go give an old haunt of mine a shot. After maybe 1hr and still no luck I was contemplating if I should go or stay. With only around 100m of rockwall left I decided to keep going.Making my way across the wall I threw out & half way through my retrieve was smashed but he missed, gave a couple more pops and BANG this time found hooks. With light gear I didnt want to go to hard on him but did have to put some pressure on him as he was making a beeline for the other side of the rockwall.Once his head was turned he came towards me before making a few more good runs. After a nice fight he was netted, few pics taken and happily released. Now to do it all again tonight. Thanks for reading.

Cracker fish Michael and good to see you got your PC sorted. Was tempted to head out for a fish after I got you text last night but was too shattered after a full day out with the kids at the lagoon.

    Nice avatar btw

Good work mick, nice fish. Try as we might we couldn't crack one on lure last night. That's my next objective, Red Fish on lure. Keep up the good work.
