had to laugh this morning a mate an I were fishing up at sanctuary cove hitting some pontoons on the main river - I was a few jettys down when I hear a bit of yelling going on- wtf ? I paddle up an heres grant arguing with this old bloke who had come running down the pontoon waving his hands telling us to f off from his jetty an not to fish it as there his pets an we are in a fish sanctuary -we are totally within our rights to fish this so after a nice little dispute between the two parties we continue to fish his jetty an around it- a couple of mins later he comes back down to the jetty loaded with a garden hose - haha I nearly lost it from laughing when he turned it on an tried to wet us hahaha some people

Had a similar thing happen in the Mooloola some time back. We were throwing plastics from a boat... Yup, they were pets, apparently.

We got hassled by a lady on a regular basis last summer, in the canals at Palmy.... She was complaining they were were upsettign her dogs. Started to film us when every we fished near her place. Of course I accidently grazed her pontoon with the yak one day, and she went NUTS... After working in retail, I am used to people being over dramatic, but this lady took the cake.

    Some people.

Fishing the pontoons with Dids a couple of weeks ago and old codger comes down with a camera and starts taking photo's. By the look of him, I think he wanted Dids to come over for a progressive dinner. I can just see it now, a life size photo of Dids photo-shopped wearing a negligee proped up at the end of old mates dinner table.

Sanctuary cove residents and security are "special".... or at least they think so. As long as you don't go into to canals and stay on the river your ok boys and in some great jack country. Marinas are however fish sanctuaries so watch that.
