    Default Maroochy after the rains

I went for a fish this morning to see how the water is going after all the rain, DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY, on the upside of things though there are some awesome schools of fish showing up on the sounder but they just were not active enough to hit my plastics. I think some of them were catfish though as I caught plenty of them!. I eventually found a patch that had a few hungry bream and a nice jack sitting in there which was a good sign. Things were still pretty quiet though with more and more catfish coming into the boat. For anyone that is a fly fisho I highly suggest getting down there as I spotted heaps of tarpon rolling on the surface eating little water insects around 5mm long unfortunetly too small to replicate with a soft plastic. They are not hard to spot for just look for the million birds diving on them!
