Default 3lb Straight through fluro...... Awesome

I set out this morning to test out a new 1-3kg hard body rod and some 3lb straight through fluro. Fluro seems all the rage these days with HB bream fishos so figured I would try it. I can safely say it stopped hooks being pulled. Out of 23 fish this morning I only pulled hooks on 3 mid fight. Loving it!.

Here are a couple pics anyway.

yeah mate awesome morning, This spot usally produces alot of fish but I loose a few to pulled hooks or missed hits. I converted alot more hits using the fluro.

As to reds...My leccy is at the doctors at the moment so have not been able to take my boat out for any missions. So been smashing some breambos. Check my other post for my bass bycatch jack

Good work, you would need a light touch with that line! 23 bream is insane, I've never caught anywhere near that many of anything!

I thought that too but its actually pretty strong. I retied probably 3-4 times due to scuffing
I was working one rocky bend and got 6 in a row. They were just going nuts today. I just need to up the quality a bit more biggest went around 31cm fork length. I'm looking forward to trying a few bream.comps this year.

Hey Adam what do you reckon about the longevity of Fluro?
Does a spool of the stuff stand to UV allright?

I'd love to use more of it but I always feel like it's a compromise between in/visibility and strength.
Bit tricky because you never know what you'll hook up to in our local... and a bust-off always seems to hurt more than any tackle cost!

Top result though mate. Looking forward to hearing about how you go in the comps.
    Alex.
