    Default Stingray Fishing at Donnybrook

Teamed up with the big fella (Shane) at sparrows today for a morning of stingray fishing.

Fun at the ramp. Shane rang before I arrived to warn about the queue !! Wasn't too bad but there was a shite load of boats on the water as the sun got up a bit.

Stingray fishing was sensational. I busted off over a dozen and the big fella possilbly even more. Great effort.

Oh yeh - also caught a heap of undersize whiting and bream as bycatch. Managed to bring home a mixed bag of 6 fish with a stonker 39cm ting from Shane being the best.

Excuse the crappy phone photo - but its a elbow slapper !!

You know Funchy, we were discussing the ratio of rays to flathead in the Passage. Much easier to catch a bloody ray - on yabbies anyway. Wonder what the number comparison actually is !!

How the hell did you survive a day of ray fishing without going to hospital?
Now, I'm not saying we should invoke capital punishment for Stupidity, but how about we just take all the warning labels off everything and let nature sort itself out?

Damn pesky tings, getting in the way of some good ray action..
Well done fellars, and Pete for avoiding any first aid incidents.
    Ben..
