Gday all, Such a nice day today with overcast conditions & very little wind,i was a bit upset with myself for not getting up early and taking advantage of it.With bass season now officially closed im turning my focus back on to the saltwater.Didnt manage to get to the spot I wanted to try till around 2.00pm and by 3.30pm and not even a sniff I decided to go have a crack at a spot I have not been to for over a year now. This spot has delivered many quality fish in the past and today was to be no different.Knowing full well that some big tailor & oversized longtoms inhabit this area I decided not to throw anything of value so on went the plastics.Every few minutes a fish would come right up to the wall I was flicking at and make so much commotion water was being sprayed at least 1m up the wall.About 20 mins into the session I receive a bump & strike straight away setting the hook into a little tailor.nice little fish to start the session off with.Quick photo and back he goes.A few casts later back in the same spot and BANG now im in real trouble as this fish had a lot more go to it than the last fish,a dogged out fight on light gear around structure & up pops a nice trev.Being more than happy with how the arvo was panning out I decided to stay till dark and see what happens. As soon as darkness came so did the nervous baitfish, one move and about 50 mullet would freak out in all different directions.Next came a healthy Flathead followed by a chunky bream.Called it a night very satisfied with how this place is fishing and no doubt I will be back again shortly. Thanks for reading guys.
