Well done guys, those blades certainly look worth a go. Are they very shaggy?

Shaggy or snaggy haha, not really mate there pretty good ? I get mine online at 5 for 17 from Aussie sellers on eBay .. So basically it works out to be the same
Price as a plastic and jighead , though you can catch endless fish on them, with change of trebles. The hairtail took a fair bit of paint off but the blade in the pic has caught 20+ plus of all types and ready to rock into the next session. Diffinaetly worth having some in your tackle box

How do you fish the blade and do you make contact with the bottom or structure?

Never caught a fish on one because I'm too paranoid of the vibration putting off fish so never really use them. But I'm thinking now it's winter I should whack some singles on some and give it a go.

Do you only use them in current areas? How do they go on the flats?

    Gday Ben,
Bigger vibes with rattles in them can spook fish but in saying that can also piss a fish off that much that it gets attacked out of frustration.Blades on the other hand seem to let of a silent vibration that can alert a fish of it's presensce.Never really tried them on the flats but the best thing about em is they can be fished at any depth. My retreive varys from a small draw to a couple of quick hops.Depending on target species burn & kill works well on most pelagics.Sooties cream over them also, good luck Ben.

Probably not reccomended around heavy timber, but sandy/muddy bottoms, pylons, even rockbars are all worth a crack.Depending on the structure below determines wheather I let it hit the bottom or not but 90% of the time I let it flutter to the bottom.Definatly no right or wrong retrieve with these things,as long as you can feel the lure vibrating through the water then it's working.Teabagging pylons is another good method that will bring many of fish undone. Some good ones to check out would be the Strikepro cyber vibe,R2S glassie vibes,TTs blades.
