Default Fri 5th Jul off work suggestions

    Lads,
I have Fri off work (5th Jul), the tides look great I reckon.
I am under pressure tho, I have a mate of mine visiting from the bush and I am taking him fishing all day. But I can't decide what to do, I never seem to catch a lot of fish in winter eh.

    I am thinking:
    • The Pin - Jew (Never got one yet).
    • Brisi River mouth - Maybe bream
    • Redcliff - Snapper on the near reef (only ever read about this)
    • pumicestone passage (Try anything)

    So.....what would you do ????

Whoever gives the best suggestion and I actually catch somthin using that suggestion I will take fishing........not much of a prize.......but anyway.......bring on the ideas .....

    Cheers

I'll be hitting the snapper at the Peel/Goat shallow reefs on Friday morning...

With the winds predicted I would hit scarby area predawn (be there just before the sky starts to lighten and ply your trade) for snapper then nick up the Pine about 7am for a flatty and jew session with placcies.

Righto....and the winner is ........ Mangajack.
I have a Hornet style tinny, so I like the idea of Scarby as the reef is so close to the boat ramp....from memory anyway.
Then we will hit the Pine for the run-out.

Hey Pete, do you have a Cross Country 'tinny' ? If so, are you happy with it?

Thanks for the ideas All, I will post a pic or 2 later on.

    Cheers
