    Default PB Land-Based Queenie

If it takes like a Tarp, runs like a Tarp and jumps like a Tarp… there’s always a chance it’s a Queenie.
Yeh, Mr. Starlo might have a few cms on me, but it’s my land-based PB.

This one fell for a heavily customised blade that, admittedly, looks more like a day-care Father’s Day project than a lure… inhaled on splash-down and she raaaannn with it- even had to glance at the spool to see how much of the light stuff was left.

All’s well that ends well though and she’s presently bisected and baking in lemon, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and butter.
… and for those fishing this spot in Cairns.. one small Tarp landed..

..and 8 odd foot of Gecko sunning himself on the far bank.

I still see folk silly enough to feel comfortable casting the baitnet waist deep here…. perhaps it’s best if they continue to do so.

    Ta Ducks,
I'll delegate this one to Mr Dids I think.

While Dids is doing that, I'll relate a little story re geckos. My mate, who we camped with at Normanton, had to stay overnight at Cooktown for work last week. He left early the next morning and driving across the Annan R bridge, he noticed something unusual on the boat ramp. He turned around and went back to the ramp. On the ramp about 4/5m from the waters edge were 2 backpackers sound asleep. He had to wake them to tell them that it wasn't quite safe to sleep there. They said that they knew that there were crocs upstream where other people camped. He explained that they were still on the same stretch of water. When he left, he looked at the usual croc warning signs and attached was another sign warning of recent croc sightings at the ramp.
