    Default Nothing But Rats

Been hanging out for a fish for the past few weeks and have been eying this current set of tides off for a while. Wasn't that keen though cause the barra bounty is currently on and I had assumed the river would be absolute kayos but was surprised to find I had most of my spots to myself.

Fished from the town reaches right down to almost the mouth. Found fish all over the place seem to be well spread and all around that 50 to 55cm mark is all that I could manage to land, lost a couple that may have just been legal. The tally for the day ended up being 7 in the boat and jumped off/pulled hooks on roughly the same number of fish.

It was good just to be out on the water, thanks for reading.

    Im having the same problem....

Landed 4 tonight, all 55-58cm. Lost a further 4 more due to get-offs including 1 im sure was at least a metery and dropped the hook at the boat edge on a last ditch jump, just as i went to lift him in. (The time to go buy that landing net is well over-due Alex!)

1 guess where this was Alex.

Rats in numbers always makes for good news, I reckon!
Nicely done the par of you.

Without hi-jacking the post, I'll quickly say, 'yep, saved me infinite heart-breaks that cheap net' and 'rotation should allow for several sessions next week if you're keen'.

    Congrats again addicted.
    Alex.

You been paddling in the mud again Greg. Hope you have had your tetanus shot, the lizards don't brush their teeth you know.
