They say that people with addictions will do almost anything to get a fix. Well done you pair of idiots.

That hail at mooloolaba was nuts, if you haven't seen it check it out. Don't know how you would go getting caught out in that!

Don't they say that it's only an addiction if you're trying to give it up? We did everything right Dave but the forecast was waaaayyy wrong!

Was a bloody hot bite though!

Holy crap Pete, you guys are bloody lucky you didn't get zapped! It sounds like you were right in the thick of it. I know of a couple of other mates were out around Peel at the same time and experienced the buzzing rods and headed for home.
Unreal session! Well done on making it home in one piece.

Do you think the hot bite was directly related to the storm activity?

Maybe Dids but everything else was right too.

In that spot snapper chew well in dirty and fast moving water, especially on the incoming tide. We also had cloud cover and stealth on our side...not another boat to be seen for the first 90 minutes or so.

Forgot to mention that we were using silly string again (4lb) and water depth was between 0.5m and 2.5m with the biggest fish coming from the shallowest water...
