    Default Mid week session

    Hey all,

Had planned to get out amongst while the good weather and tides were around and see if we could wrangle up a few salmon. Had a fun day with pretty consistent action wasn't much run in the tide though the weather was a bit nipply early on. Between two of us caught 2 or three barra each, couple of salmon each, cracker pikey at 41 and I got a jumping barra?! Shark?! Wait a sec catfish! It happens to be the first catty I've caught out of the salt on lure up this way and they even jump lol. Fish were caught on a variety of lures, the amount of bait that was around was unreal, looking like good times ahead. Dropped just about as many fish as we caught just couldn't get the salmon to stick. All the barra were with in 10 mm 670-680 and the salmon were only a small class of fish but still fun.
Sorry about the pics, just have to take it as a bit of neck exercise.

    Cheers Lou

Nicely done, Lou - a good mixed bag...

Interesting angles on the pics though!

Welcome me to the bright side my friend. I've boated way more barra than I've lost on 8 pound leader. If you keep them in the water helps a lot too.
