headed out locally this morning to see if the snapper had started to show up, as this time last year they really started to fire.
Started off very quiet and almost gave it a miss but tried some new area and found 1 nice snapper and a good fat grassy.
A few good runs also not hooking up which i suspect were similar size snapper.
Always great to find new ground away from the crowds.
Caught both fish on 5/0 circles with mullet fillet, nothing touching squid or pilly. Too much crap floating around to fish lures.
Sea toads are thick and seem to be very wide spread, lost a lot of gear to them this morning.
Cracker of a day to be on the water.

hey Shane, bit south and wide of the Shields Street reef.
Snodger- yes mate he sure was and those things can pull, swore i had hooked a half decent snap, was a little surprised to see him surface. Dont get many grassies around here.

well there ya go, snapper can be caught of Scarby..... Just seems I cant catch them. Well done mate.
