    G'day Barra Bandit,

I have heard only good things about the new Motorguides in that they are quieter than the MinnKota's and have a better GPS and spot lock function. I know that they were selling faster than they could stock them in Townsville recently.

    Cheers

    Chris

I have the new motor guide Xi5 and it is defently quieter than the minnKota
the spotlock is brilliant and the steering more precise than previous models
My only issue is mounting a transducer as the little Skeg is at the rear so there is no protection for the transducer if you hit something
especially if using a large transducer like the DSI models have.
