    Default That's not a f@rk1n Barra!

It’s funny hey- I’ve been red hot on Barra since the season opened so I’ve almost habituated to that electric ‘Kk-rong, split-second-pause and pull’ as they hit the oft deployed paddle tail (this year’s go-to).

Fortunately, there was no one around to be offended by my colourful outburst the other day.

Yeah.. neither are record setters, it’s true. As for competing with the Goldy boys, well I’d be lucky.

But fact is not baiting or night-fishing has seen me put the net under precious few Red Dogs up here. Over six months since I’ve caught one I reckon. So two in one session? Sorry, I’m counting that as a win fellas.

A few chrome rats about though. Biggest landed was a fattie just 4cm short of an introduction to the WWW.
No monsters, but still worth getting ya boots muddy for!

Nice jacks Alex. That background looks like low elevation. I hope you didn't have your back to the water. Should be chasing them myself. So many things, so little time. Sounds like a retirement statement - I wish.

Yeah. Something counter-intuitive about turning your back on the water up here.

Mind you, my understanding is that by the letter of the law I'd have de-hooked my sub-legal Barra without taking them out of the water.

Which would have been fine... As often as I've fished there, Ive only ever seen the one Croc at this spot
