I had a run out to Mud on Tuesday looking for tailor. After about 2 hours trolling I only had 2 tailor and 1 schoolie, so I headed in close to try to stock up on some gar for the winter tailor run. Couldn't find any gar, but the pike were in plague proportions, so ended up with a good bait supply anyway. Stopped at the compass adjustment buoy on the way home to get a few winteries, and what did I catch? - more pike! plus 43 winteries, although the quality wasn't great.
