    Default Getting wet...

Soooooooo...id hit snooze on the alarm elevety hundred times, listening to the rain bucket down, until, with the glow of first light it seemed to be easing, so i grabbed a coffee, and headed out, to see if i could get a jack. As i was leaving i looked at the radar, and thought, yep its clearing, so didnt grab the raincoat. Heading down the river it was clear that wasd a rubbish decision, rsain belting my eyes. Didnt really matter as i ran aground, and [ushing the boat off it got deep, quick...Yahoo.... Anyways...lets find a jack....
Famous last words...I cast...and i cast some more, Popping up a few Tarpon and getting a few on Grubz, in amongst more casting..for zip..nada..Nothing...I went up, i went down..i went everywhere man..to no avail...As the tide roared in i changed tack, and went to find some cleaner water at the mouth of one of the rivers...After casting..and cassting some more..and another ice break..finally i got a bite...and after some screaming runs, line leaving rooster tails behind i finally netted a really nice Thready...Made the day worth while...Geez i hate big tides sometimes. Of note, i did find one of Dids secret fishing holes, with a Dids sized rod off the jetty, then driving home, waved to old mate sitting atop his housboat, he waved back, just as his missus sat up without a stitch on... and gave a wave...I was lost for words..and lost my bearings, nearly ending up the bank. Old mate that pulled in to the ramp after me looked like he was gonna have a coronary..."Did ya see that" he stammered...all i could do was nod...not a bad end to the day..

Buggered if I know Rakey, the lads south are braining em. Plenty of tarps today, makes a nice change. Nets must be thinning out a bit.
