    Default Carnage on the burrum

So, unable to sleep, i was up at 2.30, heading to the Burrum, coffe in hand to see if i could land a thready. Passing through Howard i could see they had had plenty of rain, and cruising along, all of a sudden i see a big hopper moving on the side of the road...bouncing the other way thankfully...what i didnt see was his mate, who proceeded to bounce onto the road. I was already hard on the anchors, so thankfully he bounced off the bar, and rolled down the side, copping a rubbing from the tyre as he went..well that got the heart going. I launched and arrived without further incident.

Rigging up there were fish boofing everywhere so i tossed a popper for a while, only a few half hearted hits. I then threw 4" CURL TAILZ, And straight away i was on...then off, the fish swimming towards the boat... This was the trend of the day, i reckon i lost 10 good fish...and some more. With the tide belting in i tried a bit of a rock bar on the way home, Lost a lure to a snag, Picked up the 4" Houdini curl Tailz, two casts and i had a fiesty little jack. It wasn't much reward, but it was a fish.
    Guess tomorrow is another day.

Great colour on the jack Chewy...and one fish is better than a donut!

Bloody roos are in plague proportions - we should eat more of them...

No dids. I tried. To no avail. Some beer and smoked oysters though. I'm learning.
