Nice work mate. Seem to be more there in the Coomera than in the Logan. Maybe not enough man made structure in the Logan like the jetties etc?

Hi Andrew
That is a good mangrove jack.
My best mj is 21.5cm which I caught by accident bream fishing with dead prawns. But I'm looking to improve mainly ços I don't think I could go lower.
Anyway, can you give me some detail of the chain edge cast net, please? Never come across one.

Dunno, maybe the barras and crocs ate em? Plenty of sandy or shallow rivers with good jacks like Burrum and Gregory, and some rivers just dont hold em like the Mary. Ive never figured it out, but its not man made structure.
perhaps the entrance to the Logan is harder to find, being inside Russel Island? Doesnt seem to stop the jews and bullys finding it.
Its a mystery.
According to my chemistry teacher, alcohol IS a solution!

these guys do a few different sizes, I got a 9ft one.
They do spread easier.
The 20ft rope is a bonus too, dunno how many times my old Surecatch wouldnt touch bottom past 12ft.

Gladstone today 56cm. Still 2cm short of yours Andrew.
