    Default Lucinda this holidays

    Okay
Just some phone shots of our time at Lucinda last week. Things of note are Patrick's not so giant GT, the remains of a Zerek prawn that a huge Jack hit, the wonders of Hinchinbrook Channel shown on my GPS, and the conditions 50kms offshore. Oh and the Hichinbrook Pub wood fire pizzas

Looks good SB. Some nice fish there.
I didn't see any big queenies or fingermark. I would have expected some at this time of the year but I am not an expert on Lucinda.

To be honest it was really hard going in the channel. Ingham Lions had their big comp on last weekend and both numbers and quality were down. not many Barra or quality fish weighed in from what I saw. Early in first holiday week offshore was firing with Spanish everywhere as well as quality trout. We only kept a feed each time and also managed to divy a few Macks out amongst the caravan park. All the locals were saying that the channel is not firing at the moment, so it will be interesting to see results once they've had a few weeks of the higher water temps. Jetty also fished ordinary while we were there. Sounded up some big stuff but they wouldn't bite. Interesting to note that Crackerjack fishing charters have boated a few Barra in last last couple of days, so maybe things turning around.
