    Default Arvo session

Had a few hours to kill this arvo and the water was magnificent , over to arti and around the edges of sand bars the water was so clear you could see bait schools shimmering every where found two nice flatty around 600 using 1/4 jig heads and Berkeley shrimps in banana prawn color , got monsteredom on a wreck but managed a nice trout too . On way home out of corner of my eye I saw bait just spray , motored over quietly threw in a sebile flatshad and couple casts later I was on too what I thought was a Trev , it went extremely hard with great runs when it popped up a big surprise a 620 mm kingy .they stayed around for about an hour with me landing 4 and dropping heaps . Gee it was good fun sorry about the dead fish pic i hate them but forgot phone and camera

    Usually knock the fillets off.
Then just pan fry them with skin on. Or however you like.
Any way you'd cook a firm white fish fillet I reckon.
Haven't cooked a whole one in a long time because we can't keep them under 65 and I don't have that much foil

Great report, sounds like a bloody fun time Al.
As for the Kingys, from Coffs north, mates who have caught them said the flesh can turn to mush when cooked. Hope that doesn't happen for you.
Mate of fact they caught one in Sydney around Crissy and that happened to it and I know the fish was well looked after, ice slurry etc.
Interesting to see how yours turns out.
