    Default Fitzroy King

As every one know the Fitzroy has been NFZ for past 16 months or so. The fishing has come on in leaps and bounds.

Last night went out for a three hour session in a spot that's been holding fish for the past month but haven't had a chance to fish it properly. Fished from half tide up, started throwing vibes around that 20 grams and as the Depth increased and the current flow increased changed up to 30 grams.

The breeze made it hard to stay in touch with lures and to get the right retrieve angle but the fish were definitely there. Ended up with a two good fish and a couple of dropped fish each.

Its going to be interesting to see how good this fishery can be.

Yep - without wanting to start a debate - the NSW Gov turned amateur fishing round when they banned netting in Sydney Harbour. Just wish either Qld Gov would do the same for more of our rivers. Maybe Pauline will.

For sure. Gets better every season. Although the harbour was closed over health concerns over the fish taken out, not as a concession to anglers. Now they're looking at locking us all out coz the greenies say there are no fish there...
