    Default Beautiful Day Out,Fishing Debacle...

Well,I should put up a report being as we actually went out for the day. On the water 5.30am Sunday to one of those oily glass calms, left the Heads straight across to the island. Headed up to Kingfisher and started our drift. About 6.15 Bang! Double hook up,not for long mine straight around a snag, gone! Mikey after a bit of a tussle boated a nice sweetlip into the esky. Back into it with renewed enthusiasm as the fish were there and biting. Not long after I'm on again, really good fish pulling drag then Gone! This went on all morning with us alternating losing fish. In between Mikey managed an undersize Spotty, and Cod. Stuck it until lunch then decided to have a run down to Ungowa, mainly to play with the new Garmin sounder which was pretty awesome. Pulled up and on straightaway into the boat a Grandaddy Bream which went back to live a bit longer, crapping all over me in the process. After that not a great deal happening so we headed in,dodging an amazing amount of rubbish pouring out of the rivers.
Back at the ramp having fun with the current got me wondering how the intended pontoons will work, got me beat theres a hell of a run through there on tide changes.
    Anyhow,sounder was great.

It's better to have hooked up and lost; than to have never hooked up at all.

Great day Paulo. You might have to use the anchor rope to up the ante on the biggies.
