Default Bay fishing over the festive season...

Had some fun in Moreton Bay during the break.

Kyle and I fished Green Island on the afternoon of Friday 22/12/2017. We both got busted off by good fish in the shallows, but Kyle managed a 49cm snapper after it picked up his flutterstick when a smaller fish pulled the hooks. Not much else that day.

On 02/01/2018 we kicked off the new year fishing the massive king tides at Goat Island. We got a great mixed bag, had a mad surface session about an hour before high tide with the only fish of real interest being a small yellowtail kingie that snaffled my surface pencil. Only little (about 32cm) but it went like a mad thing on light gear!

Other than these two trips there was too many people (dickheads included) or too much poor weather for us to bother going out. A couple of pics are attached...

    Cheers

    Pete & Kyle
