    Default Sydney Kings

In this edition of Big Angry Fesh...
    Oh wait... That's not me.

So we needed something for the bbq for Lunar New Year with Cindys folks. And my mate happened to need to feed his in laws a bbq too - but unrelated to the LNY.
We decided with the king season going off that would be a good bet to jump on with old friend Dan, Sydney Sport Fishing, especially since old mate had never caught one.
We got an early start and were filling the bait tank while most blokes were yawning and wiping their arses.

We got stitched up 3x by big fish hitting bait on jigs but had a good 40 livies in the tank while the nav lights were still on.
We thought it would be red hot but couldn't get a bite on the real gear so headed off looking for a proper spot.
I got on the score sheet with a couple of undersized rats and naturally we started planning our stop at the fish monger on the ride home.
Then Bondys rod went off and he had a 81cm king to his name.
With the fish still on the deck the baits went out again and Bondy had a nice Bonito - perfect for my Viet BBQ. But I'm thinking this blokes an arsey bastard...
More baits out and Bondy casually asks what's my PB. Only 86/87...
Bang! Bang! Both rods go off. Still got 2 fish on the deck. Oops... So I knock over an 80 odd and Bondy is struggling a bit - blaming fatigue from catching all the fish...
By this time we're surrounded by boats and up comes an 86. Hate this bloke. Second king and he's done my PB...

We decide we should go get another bag of ice and a coffee. Only we realise it's not even gone 9 and the Q station cafe doesn't open till 10. So we drop baits again and knock over another low 80s fish. None of the other 10 boats working the area look like they've had a hit and we sensed it was slowing down a bit and decided to move on with already more than enough in the kill bag and still a tank full of bait.
We pottered around a couple more spots. Still catching enough to keep us interested. Knocked one more king on the head because it was gill hooked. Had our coffees. And were back at the ramp at 11.

It's great when a plan comes together.

My mate just messaged me that kings are going for $60/kilo and he might just buy some sausages for the in laws.

Not really Al. From what I've seen on that show they spend a lot of time anchored up dropped burley or very occasionally throwing a surface lure.
We didn't drop anchor or electric all morning.

I keep hearing the Harbour has been fishing well
Maybe I should pull my finger out & actually go fish it !
