Default Ningi Creek Fishing Report No 6

Grandson was over on his regular fortnightly visit, so we went fishing Ningi early on the 26th May, knee was giving me heaps so took out a personal loan and purchased enough worms for a days fishing, day started well with the young fella landing a nice lizard,, however that was about it for keepers until just after midday when the young fella landed another nice lizard, we were plagued by pony fish all day no matter where we went and in the end came home just after 1.30, had a few worms left so gave them to a couple of young blokes at the ramp at spinnaker.

Stopped at Beefys on the way home for a pie each, love my Beefys pies, got home cleaned the boat and motor and left her out to air dry.

Couple of pics including the best whiting of the day

Hi Mick, you are right there mate, I intend to take him live bait fishing for the big girls in September, have caught and released some cracker lizards in Ningi Creek over the years using livies, however have been learning to use plastics with some success during last 12 months, I am an old dog so learning some new skills using the plastics, young fella has taken to using them like a duck to water, thanks for your response

    Good day out there Ron.
Prime time right now to head up the creek to the rocks upstream of the powerlines.
Best to get there about 90 minutes before low tide and get in position for the change of the tide and the feeding frenzy.
