Default Ningi Creek Fishing Report No 12

    Hi Everyone

Had a few trips since last report but generally speaking fishing has been pretty ordinary

3rd Nov - Mostly Pony Fish and few undersize flathead and bream

17th Nov - More Pony Fish and unders, moved around to get away from the slimy mongrels but they were everywhere

1st December - Finally caught some keepers, but still plagued by Pony Fish, Grandson came up with the idea of feeding the mongrels to the eagles, so we did, at one time we had 2 White Breasted Sea Eagles , 2 Brahminy Kites and 4 Whistling Kites circling above the boat just waiting on a free feed, was just beautiful to watch them swoop in with wings outstretched and claws fully extended and pick the ponies up off the water, attached are a couple of pics of a Spotted Javelin at 34cm and a Barred Javelin at 35cm, put 3 Spotted Javelin and 1 good bream on ice slurry for tea tonight.

Not meaning to preach to the converted, however for those not familiar with Javelin fish, there are 2 species caught in Ningi Ck the Spotted Javelin legal length 30cm and the Barred Javelin legal length 40cm, relatively easy to tell them apart in the attached pics, don't get caught out and cop a fine, make yourself aware of the difference.
