Pancake ck

My oldest daughter wanted to do an adventure type camping trip of either fishing or hunting. Decided on Pancake Ck. 3.5hr drive on the tar, 40min drive on dirt tracks, launch tinnie full of camping gear, then a 12nm run through a mangrove creek maze to come out into Pancake Ck. Pancake has one of the few coral reefs inside an estuary so is a special place. Being only accessible by boat is even better. Four days of crabbing, fishing, camping, swimming, exploring and generally spending time with my daughter ensued. Even though fishing was casual to say the least, we managed to pin 19 cod, 10 flatties to 75cm and a mix of other bread and butter species. Very pretty spot and some great sunsets.
