    Default German

    Hey all,
Just wondering whether anyone can help me with a general enquiry; tried chewy but gave him no notice and typically I'm disorganised...
Doing an overnighter tomorrow night, driving up from Brissie and camping on the boat or in the car. Have done this at Beaver a couple of times but had two pots cut off two weeks ago, up near Brother's and sickof the prawn ropes, so thought I might try German, Dimonds. Do I have to go around the front, or is there a way to go in from Boonooroo Rd if I'm coming up from the south? Suppose I could also go in at Marroom but would prefer not to given how dodgy the channel is. Anyone have any general advice about sneaking in there with a 5M side console flat ar#ed ali boat?
    Thanks for any advice/
    Cheers sheik

Maaroom is ok 3 hour of run in to get out follow the locals they normally do the first 5 or 6 red and greens then head straight out as the gutter is no deeper, at that part of tide you would need to use the L gutter to head north into the main channel to around the entrance to the Diamonds ect there should be enough water then to cut through behind the islands towards German ect

thanks mate, but that's exactly why I don't want to go in there at maaroom, it's Captain Sandbank you're talking to. It;s just not worthwhile for me to go anywhere there's the possibiliity of
    a/. running aground
    b/. hitting a rock
    c/. getting lost
    d/. all of the above.

Your best bet to maximise your time would probably be to put in at River Heads and head round to German from there. Not too sure on safety of the overnight park would be down there at the moment, although there’s a few guys do it ok.Fishing the Straits your “all of the below list “pretty well covers all the bases lol.

Now, I'm not saying we should invoke capital punishment for Stupidity, but how about we just take all the warning labels off everything and let nature sort itself out?

Well got caught up with wife's parent's health issues and didn't make it until Friday. Went down on the beaver and got a 50cm flattie in the castnet, 45cm gold spot in the crabpot, and a few bream from 28 to 32 cm.
Did not lose one live bait the whole day either side of Crabs.
    Curiously, the wind blew.
No crabs of either sex or size.
Tried to call you Friday Chewy but you were out.
Drove four hours, fished eight hours, drove four hours.
    Tired.
