Default First trip in the boat for a while

    Hi Everyone
Haven't posted for a bit, but had a fish with my Grandson today at a drop off in front of a gutter that runs into Elimbah Creek, day started slow but turned into the best days fishing for a while, caught a heap of undersize grassies, bream and grunter, but also scored 5 grunter over 40cms, best going 46cms, and 2 bream over 34cms, these chaps were bled and put in an ice slurry and accompanied me home for dinner tonight, no pics as I left my phone at home, bugger.

Good to see someone fishing down here Ron. Sounds a good day. I sat in the Powerboat Club just wishing I was on the water. They had their club weigh-in and most blokes had only caught one fish for the morning.

beat my effort in the pine this morning....about 6 small whiting on poppers and three catfish on live prawns....ended up sending about 30 big live prawns back to live out there lives.
Prawns are good sized in the pine atm....hence to 100 odd boats chucking nets.

Was very busy on the water this morning.

That's where I was supposed to be but got stuck at Redcliffe for another night. We'll need to organise a time to catch up for a beer next time.

Was good to get out in the boat, haven't seen my little mate for a while due to him moving away with his Mum, but go a surprise phone call saying he wanted to come up for a weeks fishing so we are into it
