Default A week at Bribie Land Based

Day 1: Snot weed. No fish

Day 2: Snot weed & ribbon grass. No fish.

Day 3: Same as day 2, but a teeny flatty

Day 4: Same as day 3

Day 5: Same as day 2

Day 6: Same as day 5

Day 7: FOUND THEM!! Dropped 2 monster flatties walking them back thru 100mtrs of ankle deep mud, numerous rays and 3 inches of water.
Then immediately after got called away.
    Then packed & came home.

Back to the pine I go tomorrow to get a feed.

Oh well. The weather was great.... mostly.

    Cheers

Concise to the point, I like it. At least it was different scenery, shame about dropping those flatties though.

I walked & flicked almost the length of the island from red beach in the south to whitepatch in the north.

If only I'd done it the other way round this post might have been very different.
The young grandson wandered over the road from where we stayed for a flick while his father and I solved the worlds problems over a few beers.
He caught a 38cm flatty (dusky).
Some old goose on the beach told him duskies are legal at 30 !!

    Luckily he knows better.

Amazing the number of older guys think that,I was out with the next door neighbour and he was adamant they were 30cm. Even after I showed him the regs he didn’t look convinced.

So 7 days at bribie and many $$'s later for zero fish.

7 hours in the piney to catch enuff to feed 3 people for a couple of nights.
    Biggest went 66cm.
Had to give the next biggest to the deckie coz his only fish went 45.

    Gotta luv it.

Bribie is a tough gig land based unless you are prepared to get mud on your feet.
it is more productive on the sandstone point to spinnaker sound land based.

Agree Chewy. I translated the original post as:
Day 1-7 Didnt work, went fishing.
Now, I'm not saying we should invoke capital punishment for Stupidity, but how about we just take all the warning labels off everything and let nature sort itself out?
