Just finished reading the Tournament Angler Guide 07, a bit Hollywood but a top read. The Tassie Bream are BIG Stuart!

Keep up the info for your neck of the woods Beevor. I'll be visiting the Apple Isle April 19th to 30th I'll be based in Huonville Beevor, can you let me know what fishy things lurk there abouts?

Plenty of bream in the Derwent and some decent size ones amongst them. I wouldnt be to keen on eating any as the river has some serious polluters on its banks.

Personally I didnt find it a pleasant place to fish and would recommend you head a bit further North if you can find the time. The fish are actually bigger in some Noreastern rivers and very pleasant fishing in near wilderness conditions.

Can you recommend any spots close to the Derwent river as I dont have all that much transport. I could travel a bit further north but not all that much. I know not to eat anything out of this river, its a shame as its so beautiful.

Sorry Stuart cant give many alternatives as it is a fair way from my turf. Im sure Beevor has the low down on some local options as he is from that part of the world. Im sure he will be only to happy to give some suggesstions.
