Bream chasing addict of tackle and all things fishy...
Sorry Bear should've googled it
Have been searching for native species that occur in our waterways and found this not really anything you could fish for but interesting anyway.

Interesting thing if you look on the link I provided its the Fisheries Dept, it has feral species but doesn't list any of the fish mentioned in this thread, does that mean that according to the powers that be they dont exist here

Still confused do you mean Trout Cod or Murray Cod?, have just been reading about the both of them in Freshwater Fishing Mag.
I'm figuring its the Murray version?

Yellafella they certainly can get big, going to try find out if possible where they are here in WA, was interested in the lures they're caught on over your way big deep diving types and bright colours yellow, green and purple and so on.
The bloke that was shown with one he'd caught in WA had caught it at night on a surface lure, awesome looking fish.
Hyper Tackle
they are awsome looking fish
main lure colours l use are purple and black ,it depends on water clarity
deep divers and some structure, like most fish
try a few different colours ,they will have a go at anything

funny enough i was talking to my wifes grand dad last night and he told me thats what he used to catch . it seems it all changed when they diverted the river for some reason which reduced its flow and then the silt started to settle . he said when he was young the river seemed to always be flowing .
