    Default Tamar Snotties

Snuck up to Figjams territory today with and fished with a local guru Dicky - i only caught one good flattie but Dicky caught 3 good size snotties on fresh chicken breast - beautiful day on the water but thats how things go. May have been the banana the missus smuggled into my lunch

Still firing then. I'll have to make a concerted effort methinks.

Good to have you on the local water and good to meet you Stack even if it was only briefly as things were a little hectic handling camera boats on one side and helping hand boats on the other. Sounds like ol Dicky had you fishing too deep.

Dicky was fishing fairly deep only a few winds up from the bottom - i was trying about midwater with both rods - used some of the missus frozen chicken breast - may have been in the frezzer too long? I think fresher the better.

Nah, when they are on the chew they dont mind if its not fresh. Usually I get em on chicken that has been in the sun all day and refrozen, they still like it.

One thing i noticed that differed from the Mersey was there seemed to be no small cocky or mullet about - Dicky caught a few small flatties on the chicken bait but i had bluebait on one hook for most of the day for not one touch - but they may have been in another area -thats about all we catch bottom bouncing in our area and plenty of them
